<description>I am by no means an expert, and have actually yet to have a salt water aquarium of my own. However, I have been investigating the matter somewhat and understand that some years ago the norm was under gravel filters and canister filters, but now people use the Berlin method. (Source: http://www.aquaristsonline.com/blog/general/what-is-a-natural-reef-aquarium/.) I guess, that is still the lates tech in play when it comes to salt water fish aquariums.

Anyway, like you, I was totally mesmerized by aquariums when I was a kid. The darkness surrounding me, and the colourful display made me feel as if I was in a truly magical place.
